JEP Edinburgh 2018

For 2018’s first event, JEP visited the Scottish capital, Edinburgh. The event began on Thursday with a visit to the New Town and its main streets as well as exploring the Royal Mile and historic castle. Local councillor Eric Milligan was guest speaker at our Gala Dinner evening. historic ancient Corinth. On Friday, participants got to explore the Highlands starting with a visit to the ultra modern Kelpies and then traditional Stirling Castle. For Shabbat, Rabbi Dr Daniel Hershkowitz spoke to participants about the interesting involvement of Israel with space. A trip to Scotland could not miss out a whisky tour, and as such the group visited on the Sunday Glenkinchie, the southern most whisky distillery in Scotland. This ended another fun JEP trip.

JEP Larnaca 2017

In 2017, JEP visited the Larnaca on the island of Cyprus. The event began on Thursday with a visit to the old town and scenic sea front. On Friday, participants got to explore traditional Cypriot life in the villages of Ayia Anna and Lefkara, as well as take traditional donkey rides. For Shabbat, Vicky Ross advised the group on becoming a better version of themselves. The trip then ended on Sunday exploring the Jewish heritage of Ayia Napa.
